19 Nations Participate in Pakistan's Military "Team Spirit" Exercises
The Inter-Services Public Relations, the military's media wing, confirmed that the 9th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit Competition–2026 launched at the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi, located in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
Officials characterized the drills as a platform for bolstering military-to-military cooperation "amongst contingents from friendly forces."
The kickoff ceremony initiated a grueling 60-hour patrolling operation.
The multinational exercise draws personnel from Türkiye, the US, Malaysia, Belarus, Egypt, Jordan, the Maldives, Morocco, Bangladesh, Nepal, Qatar, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Uzbekistan.
Indonesia, Myanmar, and Thailand are monitoring the exercises in observer capacities.
Pakistan's domestic contribution includes 16 combined teams from the Pakistani Army and Navy, supplemented by Air Force observers.
Conducted on Pakistani soil each year, the exercise functions as "a mission specific and task-oriented professional military exercise" designed to cultivate "perseverance through team spirit," the statement noted.
